HOW TO WRITE A GOOD PROFESSIONAL CV

HOW TO WRITE A GOOD PROFESSIONAL CV

  • Your first task is to work out what you need to include in your CV. A CV is a record of your qualifications (education and on-the-job training), work experience and skills.
  • It should be written in report style (i.e. bullet points, short sentences and small paragraphs) NOT in essay style with long sections of prose.
  • Writing a good CV is tricky: the message must be right but so must its appearance.
  • Your CV should persuade employers that you are the right person for the job and that they should offer you an interview.
  • There are many companies and websites offering advice on writing a good CV. Some will even write one for you. But it is possible to write an excellent CV yourself.

Some key points

  1. Include your personal details – name, address, phone number and email. People often forget them! Do not include your age or a photograph unless specifically asked to do so.
  2. When you write your employment history and education details put your most recent achievements first.
  3. Make the length of your CV relative to your work experience: if you have many years experience in a wide range of roles, you can justify a long CV. Academic CVs are usually at least 4-5 pages long, whereas CVs tailored to the private sector should be only 2.
  4. You can sound professional without using jargon or ‘management-speak’. Keep your writing clear, direct and focused. Remember that the person looking at your CV might not be an expert in your field.
  5. Try to write your CV using as few words as possible – this way you’ll keep to the point and avoid waffle. You can say more in your cover letter and application form, there’s no need to go into depth in a CV.
  6. Use ‘doing’ words on your CV such as ‘developed’ or ‘organised’. This makes you sounds active and not passive.
  7. Don’t talk about your social life unless your activities display an important skill such as leadership or teamwork.
  8. Give the addresses of two referees; one should preferably be your current employer. (see article on how to choose referees
  9. Most importantly, proofread your CV. There should be no spelling, punctuation or grammar errors: unprofessional CVs are rejected. If you find editing your own work difficult, get a friend to read your CV.
  10. Once you have finished it, show it to as many people as possible: your supervisor/mentor, colleagues, even your family and friends. Their first impressions will help you to improve your CV.

Regards: Ch Ahmed Raza.

NEW SCIENCE AND ARTS EDUCATOR JOBS 2014 NEWS UPDATE

NEW SCIENCE AND ARTS EDUCATOR JOBS 2014 NEWS UPDATE

Please don't let other befool you.
Many friends have asked me that they have a received a message regarding announcement of Educators Vacancies and that last date is 11 August.

This is b***s*** :P ;)
There is nothing like this.

Even Punjab Government hasn't issued the tender to NTS yet.
The NTS test (of which 11 August is Last date) is NTD test that NTS conducts after every three months for Private Schools.
So please ignore this rumor and avoid from sharing or forwarding such messages because our people are too much "Shoday" and vulnerable to such rumors.

.

Jaisy hi koi news update ati hai me update karta rahu ga ... keep visiting.

COUNTER TERRORISM DEPARTMENT CORPORALS POSTS METHOR OF VERIFICATION OF CANDIDATES

COUNTER TERRORISM DEPARTMENT CORPORALS POSTS METHOR OF VERIFICATION OF CANDIDATES

There are  Two Possible Methods of Verification of Candidates:

METHOD # 1:

A Person of Special Branch (SB) calls you for a physical meeting at Your home; also for confirming ur addressees. This Person has 02 Pages in his hands. He collects relevant data on that pages and submit that report. Also there is some other questioning and investigation involved in this method. i.e. About Your character, history, family background, POLICE VERIFICATION. etc. (Almost every Candidate is familiar with this Method.

METHOD # 2:

This method is ‘SECRET VERIFICATION’. In this method the SB Officials investigate and verify You Secretly, using their Secret sources. This Verification is done without any meeting with a candidate. i.e They can collect data from: Your Area, Neighbors, Or Your Employers . May be from your Educational Institutes. But this method is much difficult than the first, As it is totally based on ur Personal Character/Relations with others)

Now, those Candidates who r not verified so far and still waiting for a Verification Call, this is to inform them all that: they have might Verified using the second method.
Question is about the Next step (i.e INTERVIEWS)
You all have to wait for up to 15-20 days more.
But  Remember ONE important thing: “ONLY those Candidates will be Verified either by 1st method or the 2nd method; who have qualified the Psychological Test held on Jan 19, 2014.
The only difference between 1st method and the 2nd method is that: in the 1st method, First you receive a call for verification and then a physical meeting. then there will be an Interview call.
But in the 2nd method. You will receive call Directly for Interview.
